Former Chelsea boss Jose Mourinho has already warned Graham Potter is turning Chelsea into a small club by accepting defeats just because the team played well.
Despite Chelsea losing 1-0 to Borussia Dortmund on Wednesday night, Potter admitted he was proud of the performance but Mourinho has warned against such mentality.
After Chelsea suffered two defeats in a row to Valencia and Liverpool under former Chelsea boss Frank Lampard, Mourinho told Sky Sports: “I hope they don’t get used to it.
“That’s a very important thing, because when you start accepting defeats just because your team played well and just because your players gave their best, a performance for people to be proud of… I think when you get used to it, that’s when the big clubs stop being big clubs.
“So I don’t think they should get used to it.”
